Editorial Policy & Standards
PropFirm Alert exists to inform traders and hold the online prop-firm industry to account. These standards govern everything we publish.
1. Independence
We are reader-funded and editorially independent. We do not accept payment from the firms we cover, and we do not run affiliate links to evaluation or funded-account programs we report on. Where any commercial relationship or sponsorship exists anywhere on the Site, it is clearly labelled.
2. Conflicts of interest
Contributors must declare any financial or personal interest in a firm we cover and recuse themselves where appropriate. We disclose material conflicts to readers.
3. Sourcing & verification
- We prioritise documentary evidence: account terms, dashboards, screenshots, payment records and correspondence.
- We look for patterns across multiple independent reports rather than relying on a single account.
- We distinguish clearly between verified facts, unverified reader reports, and our opinion or analysis.
4. Right of reply
Before publishing material that names a firm in a critical light, we make reasonable efforts to contact that firm for comment, and we publish their response or note that they declined or did not reply within a reasonable time.
5. Corrections & complaints
We correct significant errors promptly and transparently, with a note where appropriate. To request a correction or raise a complaint, email corrections@propfirmalert.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
6. Source protection
We protect the identity of confidential sources and never publish a tipster’s identity without explicit consent. Sensitive material should be sent via the secure options on our contact page.
7. Fairness & language
We avoid stating as fact that a named company has committed fraud or a crime unless that is established and sourced. We use accurate, proportionate language (“reported”, “alleged”, “under review”) and attribute claims to their source.
8. Watchlist methodology
Watchlist statuses summarise the volume and nature of reports and our review stage. A status is not a verdict. Firms can move between statuses as new information, responses or resolutions arrive.
9. Use of AI & automation
Where we use automated tools to organise reports or draft material, all published reporting is reviewed by a human editor and held to the standards above.
